CALL FOR ABSTRACTS | 2024 PPA International Scientific Conference

We are pleased to invite you to the 2024 PPA International Scientific Conference which will be held in-person in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan on March 7-8, 2024. The conference will be hosted by Cagayan State University. We are NOW ACCEPTING paper abstracts and session proposals.

The conference theme is “Addressing Global Risks and Population Challenges towards Sustainability: The Philippine Lens.” This theme delves into the multifaceted issues that the world faces today, including demographic shifts, all within the context of the Philippines. We aim to unearth innovative solutions, policy frameworks, and community-driven approaches that can be applied on a global scale. Join us in dissecting these intricate relationships and charting a path towards a more sustainable and equitable future.

We welcome papers from both PPA and non-PPA members. We encourage submission from international scholars whose research interests include the Philippines. Other papers that highlight population and demography as a discipline are most welcome. Inter-country research shall also be considered as long as the Philippines is included in the comparative analysis. Panel submissions with 3-4 papers are also encouraged. Abstracts for poster presentations are also considered. The Scientific Conference Committee will evaluate the scientific quality of the submitted abstracts and selected papers and posters for the conference presentation.
